Sustainability and Responsible Tourism Policy

The Management ofBALUARTE, aware of the need to promote the sustainability of all its performances in theCongress Centre and Auditorium of Navarre, has decided to implement a Sustainable Tourism System based on the international BIOSPHERE EVENTS standard of the Institute of Responsible Tourism, a body under the auspices of UNESCO and a member of the World Tourism Organisation and the World Council for Sustainable Tourism.

Adhering to the principles of the World Charter of Sustainable Tourism and in compliance with all current conventions and legislation applicable to our installations, activities and services, BALUARTEundertakes to:

• Protect the environment and prevent negative impacts in the area surrounding the centre and the events organised in it, maximising the economic and social benefits for the city of Pamplona and Navarre as a whole, while disseminating their natural and cultural values.
• Aim at continuous improvement in areas of sustainability, helping to increase the well-being of our employees, suppliers, spectators and of our community in general.
• Ensure the greatest possible satisfaction of our customers, spectators at events and all persons who use the facility through the quality of our services, promoting the holding of sustainable events that are environmentally and socially responsible.
